FITNESS experts will go through their paces in an open-air demonstration at the weekend.
Members of Durham City Council's leisure services team will be in the Market Place on Saturday afternoon, showing off their Body Training Systems (BTS) workouts.
Instructors will give demonstrations of the classes available and hand out invitations for the launch of their new programme, at Sherburn Leisure Centre, on Saturday, September 29, from 10am to noon.
Demonstrations include body combat, which combines karate and boxing moves, body balance, which employs Eastern disciplines, such as yoga and tai chi, body attack and body jam.
Helen Stockport, the council's physical activities co-ordinator, said: "At our exercise classes, we cater for a wide range of users, as there is no single workout that suits everyone. The BTS programme is choreographed to the latest music and routines are updated every 12 weeks."
