AN animal charity is holding a sponsored fun walk to help raise funds to cover running costs.
The Thirsk-based Blue Cross animal adoption centre is looking for volunteers to take part.
The charity is hosting a three-mile stroll and an eight-mile walk for the more energetic, at the Studley Royal estate on Sunday, October 7
Jackie Haw, Blue Cross deputy manager at Thirsk, said: "We're really looking forward to the sponsored walk in October.
"Studley Royal is a lovely spot and the choice of two lengths of walk means that families and more energetic walkers can all join us for a fun day out.
"The money raised will be essential to help us look after the animals in the care of the Blue Cross."
For details on the walk, and to register, call the Blue Cross on 01845-577759.
