POLICE have appealed to residents in a rural area to report suspicious cars.
It followed two raids by thieves on farms near Barnard Castle in the past week at Wycliffe and Bowes.
Thieves took two pheasant feeders, and then a child's Suzuki quad bike and an Explorer motorbike.
Acting Sergeant Jeremy Downing said: "We want members of the public to let us know right away about any suspicious vehicles they see moving around rural locations.
"We can then quickly pass the details to our mobile patrols.
"If anyone is in two minds about whether or not to call us in instances like this, please ring. You never know how valuable your information might be."
