A TEENAGER has been arrested after a man was stabbed in the stomach in Redcar.
The victim was taken to the Middlesbrough's James Cook University Hospital where he was discharged after receiving treatment for a slight wound to his stomach. He did not need stitches.
Police had been called to Redcar High Street on Tuesday evening when they found the 19-year-old victim, close to the clock on West Dyke Road .
A 16 year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing the injury.
Cleveland Police say the youth is in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
The 19-year-old victim was with three women when he was attacked between the Woolworths store and the clock on West Dyke Road .
