A THIRTEEN-year-old boy has been arrested over a £60,000 school fire.
Sunday's arson attack at St Peter's College of Maths and Computing on Normanby Road, South Bank, near Middlesbrough, left staff devastated while Coun George Dunning, leader of Redcar and Cleveland council condemned the blaze as "senseless vandalism.'' Cleveland Police today revealed a 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson by officers investigating the fire.
He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries The fire caused serious damage to the Herlingshaw Suite for special educational needs children. An art room and the school's chapel were also badly damaged.
