COACH-loads of people who want the public to have a say on the final Brexit deal are heading from the region to Westminster this weekend.
Thousands of people are expected to march on Westminster today as part of action organised by the People’s Vote.
The group is calling for the public to have a vote on the Government’s Brexit plans and Richard Sadler of North Yorkshire for Europe says demand for coach places to join the London march is “unprecedented”.
The group have now added a second coach to cater for the numbers wanting to go, with pick ups at South Shields, Leeming, Harrogate and Ripon.
Mr Sadler said: “Whichever way people voted in 2016, what’s clear is that the kind of Brexit we’re being offered now is very different from the fantasy put out by the leave campaign - that it was all going to be easy and we were all going to be better off.
“That’s why people are entitled to say whether or not they still want it.”
