THE Chester-le-Street branch of the Citizens' Advice Bureau (CAB) has introduced a new way for people to support its vital work by giving cash online.
The CAB service has teamed up with Charity Giving to offer members of the public the chance to donate to their local bureau.
An interactive map on the Charity Giving site - www.charity.giving.co.uk - has all the locations of the English and Welsh bureaux.
Visitors to the site can simply click on their local bureau to make donations safely and securely. Charity Giving will also ensure that donations made by tax payers will also have their tax element sent to the bureau.
Chester-le-Street CAB manager Susan Phelan said: "This is a safe and easy way for people to make donations to us and keep our vital work going.
"As an independent local charity, we depend on the support of our funders and local businesses and donors. This money will help us to give advice to even more people."
