A LUCKY shopper is celebrating after winning a £500 spending spree.
Tracey King, from Durham City, won the prize in the Lucky Chip competition run by the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre, in her home city.
Mrs King collected three stamps during August by using the centre's car park and won the Lucky Chip prize for the month.
She said: "I could hardly believe my luck. I love shopping in Durham, so the shopping spree is a marvellous prize and, as it's also my silver wedding anniversary this year, it's a marvellous way to celebrate."
As part of the prize, presented by Durham FM presenter Peter Grant, Mrs King had her own personal shopper for the day, centre administrator Alison Roddam.
During her 45-minute spending spree, Mrs King picked up a new handbag and BHS vouchers for herself, a pair of jeans for husband Alan, perfume and clothes for daughter Siobhan and a new England shirt for son Liam.
Mrs King added: "My daughter told me to go ahead and spend everything on myself, but I find it much more rewarding to buy presents for other people."
The competition runs until the end of October.
