A SCHOOL building up outside areas for its pupils is delighted with a home improvement firm's donation of a picnic table.
Finchale Primary School, at Newton Hall, Durham, is developing areas in its grounds for various activities.
Headteacher Sandra Whitton said: "We are delighted with the donation.
"One of the Friends of Finchale, our parent teacher association, went to Travis Perkins, at Dragonville to ask for a donation, and they said they could have this picnic table.
"It was out on display, but if we had to buy it ourselves it would have been a couple of hundred pounds
"We are trying to build up all the outdoor areas of the school because the children learn so much from it."
