A HERITAGE project which reached the final of last year's Restoration Vallage television project has launched a new fundraising appeal.
The Renewable Heritage Trust (RHT) is transforming Howsham Mill, near Malton, North Yorkshire, into an education and visitor centre.
The whole project will cost £900,000, almost £400,000 of which has already been raised in grants and donations.
Supporters are now being invited to "raise the roof" by sponsoring individual slates at £2 a time.
All donors will be included in a list of acknowledgements in the finished building.
The RHT was formed three years ago to save the 18th century mill, which stands on an island in the River Derwent.
