FATHERS and sons have come together to create metal animals which will go on show in Thirsk.
The Dads and Lads Metal Bashing project was run by North Yorkshire County Council.
The scheme saw fathers and sons meet for a series of workshops to create metal animals.
They researched animals at Thirsk Library at the Big Wild Read event staged there.
Artist Rick Havely, from Rural Arts North Yorkshire, guided them to create their creatures.
The project was co-ordinated by Jayne Robson, the county's extended school co-ordinator for Thirsk.
The animals are on show at the library, on Finkle Street, until October 21 during opening hours.
