MEMBERS of a model flying club will put on a show to mark the 67th anniversary of the Battle of Britain on Sunday.
The show takes place at Castle Howard, near York, and features models of some of the aircraft that took part in the battle, such as Hurricanes and Spitfires.
The British Model Flying Association (BMFA) will also demonstrate aerobatic models such as Cap21s and Sukhois and 3D models.
The Battle of Britain was fought from July 10 to October 31, 1940, as the RAF resisted the attempts of the Luftwaffe, which wanted to gain control of the air space over Britain so Germany could invade by air and sea.
John Thompson, of the BMFA, said: "The air show on September 16 will be a great sight for all the family. Radio-controlled model flying has increased in popularity in recent years."
Entry to Castle Howard's gardens is £7.50 for adults, £7 for pensioners and students, and £5 for children aged four to 16. There is no extra charge for the air show, which is at 2pm.
