IRISH singing star Brian Kennedy is in Durham next week for his only North-East performance this year.
At one stage in his career, he featured in the Irish singles charts for 52 weeks, gaining him seven top-20 hits and a host of fans world-wide.
In his earlier career he provided backing vocals for Van Morrison. His big break come with a version of the legendary Ulster musician's ballad, Crazy Love.
It provided the soundtrack for the 1994 film, When A Man Loves A Woman. He recorded his first album, A Better Man, in 1996.
Kennedy will be at Durham's Gala Theatre, supported by Richard John Thompson, on Wednesday. More information can be found on the Gala's website, www.galadurham.co.uk.
