SPANISH music fans took a break from flamenco and rumba to listen to the big band sounds of a school band that visited their country this summer.
Tudhoe Grange School Bands, from Spennymoor, completed their 18th overseas tour with a trip to Barcelona.
The school's concert band and big band treated audiences to a wide variety of music ranging classics to contemporary ballads.
They impressed officials from the Barcelona Tourist Board so much with their performances that music and footage filmed at the concerts could feature on a new tourism website for the region.
Members of the audience bought copies of the bands' CD's- the latest being a double compilation featuring bands and soloists from its 25 year history.
The young musicians also had chance to visit the famous sights of Barcelona and enjoyed trips to theme parks.
