AN exhibition of photographs depicting water power in the Dales will open at the Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes, on Thursday, September 20, and run until October 7.
Dr Tom Hey will visit the museum at 7.30pm on Friday, September 21, to lecture on the evolution of hydro power in the area.
At 7.30pm on Friday, October 19, Peter Leyland will give an informal talk at the museum about his memories of the Bainbridge Electric Lighting Company. Admission to both events is £3.
Guided tours of Bainbridge village, including a look inside the Low Mill and a visit to the area around the High Mill, have been arranged for the afternoons of Saturday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 26.
Anyone wishing to go should leave their names on the list at the photographic exhibition.
