CLEVELAND Fire Brigade handed over a cheque to Zoe's Place Hospice after raising funds at the recent Community Awards dinner held at the Tall Trees Hotel, Yarm.
The evening, which more than 500 people attended, was to recognise the success of partners in supporting the brigade's work.
A fundraising event took place and £1,513 was raised and donated to Zoe's Place, Middlesbrough, which provides nursing, respite and palliative terminal care to children up to the age of four.
Paul Joyce, director of business development at the hospice, said: "Zoe's Place provides care free of charge to all families and helps the infants they look after maintain their lifestyle as if at home and we are glad that we are able to help."
