The Masons recorded their biggest win of the season when they walloped Binchester Social Club 11-0.
Marc Costello started the rout after 10 mins who was quickly followed by Lee Atkinson when the visiting keeper made a total hash of a tame shot straight at him. Ryan Murray then ran through to beat the offside trap and calmly slot home number three under the advancing keeper. Number four came when Jonathan Heslop fired home at the back post following a corner.
After the break the goals came at regular intervals as Binchester kept on trying to play the offside trap only to be caught out time and again. Lee Atkinson got his second and the others came from Liam McRoy 2, Steven Fothergill, Kevin Dodds and a first goal from Andrew Richardson. The goal of the game came from Marc Costello, after playing a neat one two with Steven Fothergill he deftly chipped the ball into the top corner. The shot of the match was without doubt Steven Fothergill's piledriver that he manged to put wide of the blue containers nearly hitting the corner flag from 12 yards out and believe me that takes some doing, it even reduced his poor dad Stan to tears.
