A TENNIS club will offer subsidised coaching and be able to resurface its courts thanks to a £10,000 lottery grant.
The National Lottery Awards for All money will allow Westfields Tennis Club, in Richmond, to provide cut-price coaching sessions for under-18s and people over 45 next spring.
Students up to the age of 18 will also be able to practise their skills during one week of the school summer holidays. There will also be separate sessions for under-14s and over-14s.
People aged over 45 who want to become more active or restart playing tennis after a break will be offered flexible coaching so they can fit the sport around work and other commitments.
The club plans to resurface its two all-weather courts, with completion of the first due early next year. An application for a Sport England grant has also been submitted towards the work on the second court.
