With the championship already decided, it was individual rather than team performances which took the limelight on the final day.
Ushaw Moor's Sri Lankan professional, Omesh Wijisiriwardene, hit a superb century against new champions Esh Winning and there was another fine hundred from Aron Andrich for Kimblesworth, the league runners-up.
But John Carmedy still led Esh to a final day victory with a splendid 86 out of 194, which saw them home by five wickets. Kimblesworth also won but only by 35 runs against Willington, for whom Chris Moore (56 not out) was unlucky to be on the losing side.
Along with Andrich, there were runs for Andy Cochrane (62) for the visitors, who posted 257.
Kevin Mustard smashed 118 for Hylton in a massive win over Brandon.
Adam Zanotti (74) and Chris Rushworth (47) also contributed well to the 327-6 before Rushworth (four for 41) showed his all-round ability as Brandon were bowled out for 136. The victory by 191 runs was among the biggest of the season.
Crook also featured in a runaway victory - by 190 runs against Shildon Railway, who were skittled out for 67.
Lee Morton (75 not out) gave Crook the edge before Zaz Shahbaz (five for 28) derailed their visitors.
Tudhoe confirmed third place with Sachin Rana (57 and three for 29) starring against Mainsforth, while Billy Teesdale completed a great season for Evenwood with a century and two wickets against Etherley which gave his side victory by 140 runs. Etherley were dismissed for 78 with Anubam Sanclecha (6-31) sharing man-of-the-match status.
