AN award-winning web design and marketing media development company is celebrating the opening of new premises.
Atomic Web Solutions was set up in 2002 by husband and wife David and Claire Glynn. They ran it from their home, in Chester-le-Street, until the volume of work grew so large they had to find other premises.
The company, which provides clients with web and printed media services has a local, national and international client base. It is moving to fully renovated and equipped premises in North Road, Boldon, which is large enough to provide space for five staff.
The growth of the company has been supported by South Tyneside Means Business, a £16.2m programme responsible for encouraging businesses to start, grow and locate in South Tyneside.
Mr Glynn said the funding had enabled the company to expand.
He said: "We initially built an extension on our home as the business grew, but it became harder and harder to make that distinction between home and work life.
"After receiving a £10,000 grant from South Tyneside Means Business, through South Tyneside Council, in February, we were able to pay for the renovation of our new office space in Boldon."
