ONE of Teesside's favourite bands are ready to round off their 20th year together with their first gig at Middlesbrough Town Hall.
The Beer Pigs have been together, in a number of guises, since childhood friends Dave Mackin and Ian Erving formed the band when they were at St Peter's school, in South Bank.
Mr Mackin, founder member of the five-piece band - who are all still based around the Eston and Normanby area - is looking forward to the gig.
He said: "We've had a fantastic time over the past 20 years. We're still busier than ever and we've not been able to fit in anything like as many pub gigs this year as we've done before.
"So we're going to make this gig at the Town Hall as special as we can."
The Beer Pigs will perform on Friday, December 7. Tickets, costing £12, are available from Middlesbrough Town Hall Box Office on 01642-729729.
