A HOLLYWOOD star visited the region yesterday, as a theatre's centenary season continues.
Hollywood star Linda Gray will star in comedy drama Terms of Endearment in Darlington's Civic Theatre from Monday, September 17 to Saturday, September 22.
Ms Gray won international fame and critical acclaim with her portrayal of Sue Ellen in the television phenomenon Dallas.
She most recently starred as Mrs Robinson in The Graduate, both in the West End and on Broadway.
She will be joined on the Darlington stage by Suranne Jones and John Bowe.
Miss Jones is best known for her role as Karen McDonald in Coronation Street and recently appeared in the West End in A Few Good Men with Rob Lowe.
Mr Bowe's work includes seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company, and numerous TV drama roles including Prime Suspect and Coronation Street.
Terms Of Endearment explores the turbulent relationship between feisty widow Aurora, played by Ms Gray, and her headstrong daughter.
Tickets for the play cost £16 to £24. Evening performances begin at 7.30pm, with matinees on Thursday at 2pm and Saturday at 2.30pm. Call 01325-486-555 for more information.
