CAMPAIGNERS protesting over plans for new homes to rent are urging people to act quickly if they want to lodge objections.
Residents in Kirkby Fleetham, near Northallerton, are angry about a scheme to build eight houses on the edge of the village.
A planning application has been submitted to Hambleton District Council and residents have until September 13 to make comments to the council.
Last month, about 50 people attended a public meeting in the village about the plans, and many said they were worried that the development could exacerbate flooding problems.
They said the site soaked up rainwater from fields around the village and building on it would leave houses more susceptible to flooding.
Members of the local flood protection group have been circulating their response to the plans around the village, listing their objections to the scheme.
Group member Mike Hughes said: "We would urge anyone with objections to the scheme to make their feelings known to the planning committee.
