A SERIES of fun-filled events are lined up for families in Hartlepool during the coming months.

Highlights at the Town Hall Theatre include a double bill of drama from theatre company Love and Madness.

On November 28, it will present Frankenstein, followed on November 29 by Shakespeare's The Tempest.

Mountaineer Alan Hinkes will give a humorous and gripping talk on his exploits on the highest Himalayan mountains.

Also returning is Mad About The Musicals and TV psychic medium Joe Power.

Tony Rae will make his first appearance with a presentation on past life regression.

The line-up also includes musical tributes to Jimi Hendrix and Frank Sinatra, murder mysteries Murder One Night and The Ripper Files and a stage version of A Clockwork Orange.

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the abolition of slavery and Hartlepool will hold events to mark the occasion, under the banner of Window On The World.

Elsewhere, Hartlepool Art Gallery will offer a rare opportunity to see works of the late Robert Lenkiewicz.

The Museum of Hartlepool will be hosting a nostalgic display of Second World War posters on loan from collector of Maurice Collins.

The Borough Hall, The Studio, Hartlepool's Maritime Experience and attractions in Seaton Carew are featured in the new What's On guide.
