AN artist will return to a 17th Century house to lead a pastels and watercolour workshop.
Heather Dormer will be at Kiplin Hall, Scorton, near Richmond, on Friday, September 14, to demonstrate techniques and help students of all abilities.
Miss Dormer, who lives near Ripon and led a similar course at Kiplin earlier this year, said: "Kiplin Hall is a beautiful and tranquil place.
"We hope to paint the autumn tints and I shall give help with sketching, colour mixing and techniques, paying particular attention to changing skies, shadows, textures and perspectives using warm and cool colours."
The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm and costs £25. Booking is essential, because places are limited to 20, and participants should take their own materials, if they have them, and a packed lunch. To book, call 01748-818178.
