MORE than 100 paintings, spanning 12 years of the history of the River Tees, are to go on display later this month.
Journey of the Tees, by Stockton artist Brian Humble, can be seen at the Billingham Art Gallery from Monday until October 5.
The exhibition of watercolours shows the diversity of the Tees, from waterfalls at Cauldron Snout, County Durham, through to the industrial Tees estuary.
Councillor Mary Womphrey, Stockton Borough Council's cabinet member for arts, leisure and culture, said: "Brian Humble has captured the geography, geology and history of the river."
Admission is free. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from, 10am until 4.30pm. For more details, call 01642-527911.
