MIDDLESBROUGH Football Club supporters are being urged to come forward with information after violence broke out at a recent away game against Wigan.
Police in Wigan were called out to Burger King on August 15, just after 10pm, following reports that a fight had broken out.
It is believed the people involved were football fans.
A 60-year-old supporter was taken to Wigan Royal Infirmary with cuts and bruises after he attempted to intervene when a group of Middlesbrough supporters were threatened by a group of men.
A 17-year-old boy from Worsley Mesnes, near Bolton, and a 19-year-old man from Wigan were arrested on suspicion of assault and violent disorder. They were released pending further inquiries.
Three other men, all in their 20s, were arrested on August 18 on suspicion of assault and violent disorder. They were also released pending further inquiries.
