THE countdown to the BBC Tees Valley Proms in the Park continued with organisers enjoying a picnic at the outdoor venue.
Middlesbrough Council's Judith Croft and BBC Tees' Alex Hall, took advantage of the weather and tucked into their lunch on the green in the Centre Square as preparations, begin for the stage starts to take shape.
Alex Hall, presenter of the BBC Tees mid-morning show, who will be presenting the pre-event entertainment at the Proms, said: "With the arrival of the Proms in Middlesbrough we hope that even more people will be encouraged to bring along a picnic and enjoy a fantastic evening of open-air musical entertainment which offers something for all of the family."
Tickets for Saturday's event cost £10 for adults; £8 for concessions (over 60s, under 18s); under 12s are free when accompanied by an adult but they will still need to provide a ticket at the gate.
