POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an alleged indecent assault last weekend.
Officers are appealing for two passengers who travelled on a bus to Spennymoor, in County Durham, on Saturday August 25 to get in touch.
The men may have witnessed what is alleged to have been an indecent assault on a 13-year-old boy who was also a passenger on the Arriva 2B, which left Ferryhill Market Place at about 9.45pm.
A 70-year-old man, from the Spennymoor area, has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
However police are keen to speak to other passengers on the vehicle, including the two men.
One of the men was already on the bus, sitting towards the back, when it stopped at Ferryhill Market Place.
The other man, described as elderly, boarded near Sedgefield Borough Council offices, on Green Lane, Spennymoor, at about 9.55pm.
He sat near the front of the bus.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Simon Day, at Spennymoor police station, on 0845-60-60-365.
