THE scene of an accident on the A66 this morning has been cleared so traffic flow has returned to normal.
Two heavy goods vehicles were involved in a collision east of Bowes, near Barnard Castle, County Durham, at around 7am.
One of the vehicles overturned and though the road was never completely closed, motorists did experience delays while the vehicles were recovered.
Police were able to clear the scene by 11am.
The driver of the overturned HGV suffered a broken leg and no-one else was seriously hurt.
