A WOMAN is appealing for the return of her cat which went missing at a recent country and western show.
The animal, called Furby, is black with an orange underside. It has a fluorescent orange collar with a bell and a long metal barrel.
It disappeared last Saturday, at the Skipton Country and Western Music Festival, in North Yorkshire.
Owner Kath Hewitt, from Newcastle, believes the cat may have gone with a family from Peterlee or Darlington.
Mrs Hewitt said: "Someone saw her with a child and thought the accent might have been from Darlington or Peterlee.
"I am absolutely devastated, I haven't been able to stop crying. I've had her for nine years and she's my baby."
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the cat is asked to call Mrs Hewitt on 0191-289-2445.
