A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy has died following an accident at a caravan site.
Emergency services were called to Rowntree Park Caravan Park, in Terry Avenue, York, at 6.45pm on Thursday after the youngster, who was riding a pedal cycle, was in collision with a car and caravan.
The boy was taken to York District Hospital with serious injuries and died on Friday morning.
He has not been named, but is understood to come from West Yorkshire.
A spokeswoman for the Caravan Club, which runs the park, said: "The Caravan Club offers its most sincere and deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the little boy who was involved in the tragic accident.
"This matter is now in the hands of the police and we are unable to comment further."
A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We attended with a crew and treated the patient at the scene, before taking him to hospital."
