YOUNGSTERS and their mothers enjoyed a fun day at High Flyers Children's Centre, in Thornaby.
As a bonus, mums and children and found themselves taking part in an attempt to get into the Guinness Book of Records.
The Sure Start centre has a 70-place neighbourhood nursery, a 52-place after-school centre and early support nursery.
The guest of honour at yesterday's festivities was DJ Graham Mack, from Stockton-based TFM Radio, who wants to shake 100,000 hands during the year, to break the world record for hand-shaking.
He also presented certificates to the winners of races at the event.
Music was provided by local band 21 Reasons.
