A TEESSIDE man has been implicated in illegal dog fighting, involving pit bull terriers, by a BBC Panorama documentary.
An undercover reporter infiltrated one of the alleged largest dog-fighting gangs in the UK - The Farmers' Boys, based in a small town in County Armagh, Northern Ireland called Tandragee.
One man he met through the gang was named in the programme as Gary Adamson from Teesside.
The reporter said he first met Adamson at a fight held at a farm in Northern Ireland.
He then claimed Adamson accompanied him to a fight in Finland.
Pit bulls have been banned in the UK since 1991 and dog fighting has been illegal since the 19th Century.
