FUNDRAISERS are hoping to be on target when they host a charity clay pigeon shoot on Sunday.
It is the second year that the Rotary Club of Durham has hosted the open event at Spennymoor and District Clay Pigeon Club, and more than 60 competitors are expected to take part.
Club member Norman Hart has secured sponsorship from regional law firm Blackett Hart and Pratt, of which he is a partner and head of the conveyancing team, for one of the five stands shooting will take place from.
The club's junior vice-president, David Grey, said: "The sponsorship of one stand from Blackett Hart and Pratt will contribute to cash prizes, a raffle and our charity fund.
"Entrance fees will help us to make it a profitable event for charity.
"Members from a number of clubs from the local area are taking part, but the event is open to anyone with a gun who would like to take part, as well as spectators."
There will be additional trophies for the club member high gun and runner-up.
