ARMED police today surrounded a house where a woman claimed she was being held against her will.
Durham Road, in Stockton, was closed to traffic and sealed off by police before an 80 minute stand-off ended in the arrests of two men on suspicion of robbery, threats to kill and false imprisonment.
The incident began at about 6.20am today and ended at 7.40am.
The woman making the claims managed to telephone 999 on a mobile telephone from an address in Durham Road and Cleveland Police officers carried out the arrests after knocking on the front door of the house.
