THERE were two new faces in the classroom at Redcar's Little Waves Neighbourhood Nursery - much to the amusement of local toddlers.
For on the day, the children were joined by Bubbles the Clown and his friend, Scotty Dog, the official mascots of supermarket chain, Netto.
Their visit followed the opening of Netto's £1.75m store in Roseberry Road, in the town, at the end of July.
In addition to entertaining the children with their humour, Bubbles and Scotty presented the youngsters with bags full of fresh fruit for their mid-morning snacks.
Lesley Dobbs, deputy manager at Little Waves, said: "We are so, so grateful to Netto for everything that they've done.
"The children loved having Bubbles and Scotty Dog around to play with. The twisty balloons, in particular, proved to be very popular with the staff as much as the children."
Netto store manager Chris Willett said: "It was great to see the little ones enjoying themselves in such a stimulating environment, and we were only too happy to help provide the entertainment and some of the recommended five portions of fruit or vegetables that children need to grow up fit and healthy."
