VOLUNTEERS are being urged to come forward to help a counselling charity.
The Centre provides free and confidential support and counselling to female survivors of rape and sexual abuse and to women who experience domestic abuse at home.
The project is run for women in the Darlington and County Durham area.
The charity works through telephone support and face-to-face counselling.
Now it is recruiting female volunteers for its training programme to prepare them for work as a volunteer at its Darlington base for the support telephone line.
There are also a small number of volunteer placements for face-to-face counsellors, who hold a recognised counselling qualification.
For more information on recruitment needs, volunteer selection, training and details of the pre-training workshop contact 01325-354119.
The support line can be contacted on 01325-369933.
