A MAN and two teenagers were today remanded in custody charged with the murder of a 23-year-old man with learning difficulties.
Victim, Brent Martin, died in hospital after being found with multiple injuries in Sunderland on Thursday night.
This morning, William Hughes, 21, of Washington Road, Sunderland, and two youths, aged 17 and 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Sunderland Magistrates' Court.
Mr Martin's family, including mother Brenda and twin sister Danielle, filled the courtroom for the brief hearing.
Solicitors for the three did not apply for bail and they were all remanded into custody to appear before Newcastle Crown Court on September 9.
A woman and another 17-year-old youth arrested in connection with the attack have been released on police bail.
