THOUSANDS of people have been enjoying a fun-packed festival throughout Durham City over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The D3 Festival - a celebration of the best street theatre, live music and family entertainment - is being held at Millennium Place and Walkergate in Durham.
Saturday saw the Vision International Buskers Festival, with street performers fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe.
Yesterday, two stages at Millennium Place and Walkergate played host to some of the best bands from the region.
Today (MON) Walkergate will mark its grand opening, with the ribbon being cut at midday by deputy Mayor Councillor Grenville Holland.
Entertainment will include street theatre by Swank, face painting and balloon modelling, as well as performances by the UK breakdancing champions.
