A MUSICAL featuring a wide selection of modern and classic songs will be performed in the area next month.
The Witness Choir will be singing at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Friday, September 14.
The group, made up of about 30 volunteer singers of all ages from various churches across County Durham, has been invited to sing by the Crook Rotary Club, with all proceeds going to charity.
They sing a wide range of musical styles, and earlier this year performed Oliver Twist at Willington Methodist Church.
Songs will include Unchained Melody, and sacred music will also feature on the programme.
There will also be performances from Willington-based youth group Natural High and instrumental quartet Gypsy Moon.
Peter King, a choir member, said: "We are not a high-class act of highly-trained singers out to give a performance.
"We are ordinary people doing our best - for God.
"The dialogue will be fun, but will carry a serious message."
The performance starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are £6, or £3.50 for children, including a pie and peas supper.
