A 19-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital with burns to his hands, wrists and forearm after a barbecue set exploded.
A combined barbecue and electric cooker set was being used outdoors at Tanton Bridge, just north of Stokesley, North Yorkshire, when a gas leak caused it to ignite, blowing up a gas cylinder.
Fire crews from Stokesley and nearby Coulby Newham attended the incident shortly before 6pm tonight.
They administered first aid to the injured man, dressing his wounds, before paramedics arrived and he was taken to hospital.
