THE family of a woman whose body was discovered at a house in Redcar yesterday, prompting a murder inquiry, have said they are "totally devastated".
Barbara Davison, 66, died yesterday at an address on William Street.
A 59-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder following the discovery of her body. He remains in police custody.
In a statement released through Cleveland Police, Ms Davison's family said: "The family would like to say we are totally devastated at losing our mum.
"We are still in shock and would ask that we be left to deal with this and for privacy at this very difficult time."
