TICKET GRIEVANCE
I RECENTLY took my family to the Durham ten-pin bowling alley. I had no change for the car park machine and, therefore, went into the bowling alley and paid the fees in order to get some change.
We were the first ones in that morning, and the bowling alley was deserted, except for three police community support officers sitting drinking tea/coffee.
By the time I had paid the alley fees, got everyone shoes and set up on the relevant lane, I went outside to pay for the car parking. I must have been in the bowling alley between nine and 12 minutes. I had a parking ticket attached to my car windscreen.
Thanks, police community support officers, you definitely have my support in your difficult task to make our streets safer. - Andrew Grieves, Durham.
