A POPULAR countryside event will include a fashion show for the first time this year.
Outdoor clothing, including designer deerskin outfits, colourful wellies, shawls and socks, will be modelled three times a day at Countryside Live, which will be held at the Great Yorkshire Showground, in Harrogate, on October 27 and 28.
Designers of countrywear from across North Yorkshire will show their clothes.
Countryside Live is the sister event to the Great Yorkshire Show, the showcase for some of the country's finest cattle and sheep.
Nigel Pulling, chief executive of event organiser, the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, said: "Countryside Live has really come of age and, being 90 per cent indoors, it is ideal, whatever the weather.
"On the programme there's everything from inspiring cookery demonstrations using local produce to jazz music, to the Young Farmers' tug-of-war, to the dozens of stands.
"There's also the chance to see some of Britain's best animals and talk to their owners, and, of course, we're delighted to have a new feature in the fashion shows."
