MOTORISTS will not face a rise in car park charges in Ripon for a third year running.
Harrogate Borough Council has again decided not to raise charges in the city after an annual review.
But drivers in Knaresborough will face a first car park price increase in four years of between 10p to 20p.
There are no increases at Pateley Bridge and no plans to bring in charges at rural car parks which are free.
In Harrogate, all surface level car park charges will remain at current levels, apart from that on Dragon Road which has a small increase.
The charges for parking in the day at the Victoria and Jubilee multi-storey car parks in Harrogate will remain the same.
But evening time parking fees at the Jubilee car park will rise to £2 and at surface level car parks to £1.
The council has set aside £240,000 for parking provision in market towns and hopes to invest the same next year.
