POLICE are appealing for the driver of a pick-up to come forward after a potato lorry tipped over.
The accident happened on an unclassified road between Malton and Stamford Bridge in North Yorkshire at about 1.15pm today.
The driver of the potato lorry, Ricky Brown, 45, of Hayton, near York, suffered a broken arm and facial injuries when the truck tipped over, spilling its load of 27 tonnes of potatoes into a field.
Police have appealed for the driver of the blue pick-up, which was travelling in the opposite direction around the time of the accident, to come forward.
He was described as a large man with a beard. A girl was in the front seat passenger seat of his vehicle.
