FILM-LOVERS in Northallerton will have the chance to see two recent hits next month.
As part of the First Friday Cinema season, Charlotte's Web and Notes on a Scandal will be shown on September 7 at the Hambleton Forum, in Northallerton.
Popular children's tale Charlotte's Web (U) will be screened from 5.30pm. It tells the story of a pig that hatches a plot with a spider in an attempt to save its life.
The animated adventure features the voices of John Cleese and Julia Roberts.
At 7.30pm, Dame Judi Dench will take to the screen in Notes on a Scandal (15), which uncovers the affair of a colleague with a young student.
The film charts the developing relationship of the two teachers as secrecy surrounding the affair is forced to fade.
In the First Friday Cinema programme, in partnership with Northallerton Rotary Club, two recent films are shown at the Hambleton Forum on the first Friday of every month.
Tickets are £3 at the door. Snacks and refreshments are available.
