A CHARITY is looking for walkers to step out to raise money for vulnerable children.
Children's charity NCH wants people to join a 3.5-mile sponsored walk around Pittington and Hallgarth.
The circular walk, with views of Durham Cathedral and Penshaw Monument, will begin from Littletown playing fields car park, on Saturday, September 1, at 10.30am.
Proceeds will go to NCH's Growing Strong appeal, which aims to raise £400,000 for children and young people across the North-East.
Linda McDonald, an NCH fundraiser, said: "Walkers of all ages are welcome, and every step taken will help the vulnerable children NCH supports. You are invited to take a picnic and enjoy a fantastic family day out.
"At NCH we're passionate about supporting children and young people to grow strong.
"We know from our daily work that increasing their confidence and self-esteem is crucial to unlocking a child's potential and, with your help, we can make a real difference to their future."
