A VILLAGE fete, resurrected after an absence of 100 years, will take place on Sunday.
The Hoppings, in Hamsterley, near Bishop Auckland, was a popular event in the early part of last century.
The festival will include a tug of war, music, art, gardening and a fancy dress competition.
There will also be stalls, displays and refreshments available.
The events start on the village green from noon. All money raised will go to the North East Air Ambulance.
